Little Rock Film Festival

poster-of-lrff-for-webFrom May 13th – May 17th, writer-director Stephanie Storey attended the Little Rock Film Festival, where her short film, Thanksgiving Seconds, premiered to a sold out crowd.

On Thursday, May 14th at 6:15 PM, “The Magic Touch” shorts program (including Thanksgiving Seconds) played at the Riverdale Cinemas #7. When the theater sold out before the show started, festival volunteers were forced to turn audience member away at the door. The crowd laughed and applauded through the entire program. That evening, Kathy and Steve Storey hosted a party for Stephanie at Garry Mertin’s Design studio. Approximately 50 family members and friends were on hand to celebrate.

On Friday night, the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Library hosted the Awards’ Gala, where Phil Donahue and Governor Mike Bebe gave remarks. The Golden Rock Awards for best feature-length narrative and best feature-length documentary were awarded.

On Saturday, Thanksgiving Seconds‘ lead actress, Allison Dykstra, traveled to Little Rock to attend the second showing of Thanksgiving Seconds that night. After the show, Storey and Dykstra attended the filmmakers’ after party at  Crush Wine Bar.

The Little Rock Film Festival is supported by the Clinton Presidential Library and sponsored by the Clinton School of Public Service.
